This is an extraordinarily rare papal bull issued during the 13-day papacy of Pope Urban VII.

Although it does not have the lead seal attached to the document, it still is an incredible artifact to have in this Collection.

Pope Urban’s pontificate was the shortest in the history of the papacy. Although healthy when elected, he was struck with malaria soon after the election and died a short time later.

It is one of the rarest items in the Collection.
