The artifact is a Eucharistic chalice from the German master goldsmith, M. Meinart, in 1877.
It is in its original case with the Latin dedication embossed in gold, both on the case and on the chalice:
“Sanctissimo Domino Pio Papae IX cives catholici Herbipolenses:” “To the Most Holy Pope Pius IX (from) the Catholic citizens of Herbipoles (Wurzburg).”
