- Pope Francis Encyclical, Lumen Fidei
Lumen fidei (The Light of Faith) is the name of the first encyclical of Pope Francis, which was signed on June 29, 2013, the feast of the Solemnity of Saints Peter & Paul. It was published July 5, just four months after his election. Its theme is faith, and it completes the two encyclicals previously written by Pope Benedict XVI on the other theological virtues, charity and hope (Caritas Est and Spe Salvi).
The document is signed by Pope Francis, Franciscus, and contains the embossed stamp of his personal office staff.
The encyclical also came with verification of its authenticity from the Vatican Secretary of State.
This is a rare and unique addition to the Papal Artifacts’ Collection.
